Sproles and Matthews will be lightening his load tremendously.

What an offseason for the Philadelphia Eagles!! This German soccer player smile I'm sporting is fucking AWESOME.

NFL Network pundits already have Murray going to Oakland for the #4 pick.

Murray is WAY better than Mathews and Sproles combined. Not sure how all the salary cap issues come into play. But if this is a move just to trade Murray then it doesn't matter...just don't count on Mathews for more than 8 games.

The eagles just turned McCoy ($12 million next year) into Mathews ($4 mil) and Murray ($8.5 mil)

Bradford is going into the last year of his rookie contract ($13 mil) then he'll either resign for WAY less, or leave and that will free up $13 mil in cap room for next season as well.
MEAC, last one out turn off the lights.

The Eagles are still well under the cap - no issues there. Listened to Mike & Mike this morning & they talked Eagles for close to an hour - Mariota's name was frequently brought up. Mariota is in Atlantic City today for the Maxwell Awards - every camera in Philly will be there. There are rumors that he did less than 100% at his pro day yesterday to heighten his chances of reuniting with Chip. This will still be fun through Draft Day.

Maybe they trade Bradford and Murray since they appear to be chummy and since Bradford played a big part in getting Murray here.

At this point, I'm fine with what they've done up to this point - I'm on record that I like Bradford better than Foles and while I think Shady is more talented than Murray, the one thing Murray does do very well as a running back is to keep going forward, and even falling forward on tackles - those little yards add up and work in Chip's offense where negative yards are fatal.

They probably do need another WR, but at this point I don't see anyone I'd like to pick up in free agency, so that will have to come in the draft. If they stand still with who they have, you have to think you'd see a lot of two-back sets - it gets those guys on the field more often, it could help with protection to make sure Bradford stays healthy, it could give you the multiple run options that you would get with just a running QB but don't have because it's Bradford, and you could always have those guys split out. Ertz really needs to step up this year as a TE receiving threat, even more than he was last year.

Defense looks significantly better at this point, with only the safety position to be addressed, and again, that will have to be a draft thing since the only position weaker in free agency than WR is safety.

Gotta say, I like where Chip is heading with all this. If he does something to get Mariota I'm sure that will be fun to watch as well. Heckuva an offseason so far.

Well for this offense, Bradford is as close as you can get to a proven NFL commodity at QB.
