Caps take care of Jersey and Blue Jackets are losing after 2. Looks like Pens/Flyers first round.

I’d like to see a good playoff run, but we don’t match up well against Pittsburgh.UNI88 wrote:Go Flyers!Ivytalk wrote: Fvck.

Playoff wise, that's not true. Pretty sure the Flyers have beaten the Pens more often in the playoffs. Also pretty sure if the Pens could have chosen their opponent, the Flyers would have been the last team they chose.93henfan wrote:Pens pwn the Flyers.

Nashville in 4NJ is 3-0 vs. Tampa Bay this season.
Playoffs are a completely different animal.

And 7th place is the coveted position since that will earn a 1st round matchup with the Caps vs. either the Bruins or Lightning. Sorry 89, but you have to admit that would be a more favorable path to the second round.
Caps > Jackets
Flyers > Pens
Then I'm guaranteed a team in the conference finals.

Damn, this is strange. I would think that 1 and 2 from the same division would not meet until the Conference finals.89Hen wrote:

Going from 0-3 to 4-0 is certainly "completely" different.

Once the playoffs start, regular season records mean nothing.

Re: 2018 NHL Thread
Well sure. But you have to factor match ups. Some teams match up with certain teams better than others, regardless of how good or bad they are. I don't know why the Devils were 3-0 against the Lightning (the NHL network hates the Devils and refuses to show them), but they did. If you said TB in 6, I'd say that's a fair prediction. You took it to the extreme which, while possible, has little basis other than 1 vs 8.Wildcat Ryan wrote:CAA Flagship wrote:![]()
