I heard about this last night... I didn't even bother looking for the thread here as I assumed it had been posted 2-3 hours before the press was released with a:

Now I can root for the guy. Always like him, but couldn't pull myself to root for a Yankmee (pull myself....yankmee....get it?)

Matsui was my favorite Yankee. No-BS guy who just did his job and hit. Even when he was playing hurt he still found a way to get it done.
Sad to see him go.
