Today at the press conference introducing Mike Cameron, Theo Epstein said that the team remains interested in any player that can help the team being better including Jason Bay, there was also a reluctance to put in stone what position Cameron would play, this might suggest the real possibility that Boston is willing to include Ellsbury in a deal for Adrian Gonzalez.

Even if they don't trade Ellsbury they could still sign Bay and make Cameron the 4th OF, with JD Drew's yearly trip to the DL it would be a great insurance policy and would also allow the team to rest its other OFs on a more regular basis while still having a competent player on the field.
