I figure one of the requirements is that Cowher wants to pick his entire staff. I am surprised Cowher isn't holding out a year to see what happens in Carolina. He is a Carolina guy, does the hockey deal, and you think he would ideally want to coach there.

Yeah, going to Buffalo would kind of surprise me considering. I guess there are some other requirements for Cowher:
A location with a relatively small market
A location with some ridiculously fucking cold and miserable weather

Per ESPN today:

1. The interim coach is expected to interview for the job for next year.

2. Cowher is not expected to coach anywhere next year.
