I think they go along with the nicknames for the country. For instance, Egypt's nickname is the Pharaohs, Ghana is the Black Stars, Angola is the Black Antelopes, Algeria is the Desert Foxes, etc.

Right, I wasn't talking about the watermarks/sublimated images, but how it looks like Puma took a toga and just sewed a patch of cloth underneath. Like on Algeria's away shirt, where the stripes just end - that's what I meant.

Egypt gold clash is amazing I think.
I also love the sort of "tribal african" paint style for the stripes.
