As long as we give him the power to manage the team as GM also, I think this is a great step for the franchise.

I don't get why we just didn't hand the keys over to Holmgren. The Browns are going to the playoffs in the next 2 seasons.

Nick Saban, Steve Spurrier, and Barry Switzer come to mind as abject failures in the NFL. It's a whole different game when the players run the game. Pete's got a good gig, but $$ talks.

Carroll will want to go back to college in 3 years max. And there will be a perfect candidate.
What's the one school where he can be a celebrity, not deal with state politics (i.e. private school), be in a major media market and get away with minor violations without raising an eyebrow.
Miami.
Mary my words. Pete Carroll will be the head coach at The U in three years max. Then everyone in American will remember why they hated them for so long.
