With the MLS Combine well underway, one notable absentee has raised some questions. Danny Mwanga (Oregon State), the PAC-10 player of the year, is not in Florida. And now we know why. The Philadelphia Union have reportedly reached a deal with Mwanga to make him the #1 overall pick in Thursday’s MLS SuperDraft.

MLSNet.com reported this development over the weekend, and Union fans are ecstatic. Philadelphia will now add the most dynamic striker in college soccer to their roster. Standing at 6′ 2”, Mwanga has an incredible combination of size and speed that saw him score 14 goals this past season.
