1) Traded Max Scherzer for Edwin Jackson
2) Picked up option on Brandon Webb
3) Signed Adam Laroche
4) Signed Kelly Johnson
5) Released Eric Byrnes


Lineup set:

C: Montero
1B: LaRoche
2B: Johnson
SS: Drew
3B: Reynolds
RF: Upton
CF: Young/Parra
LF: Jackson

Starting: Haren/Webb/Jackson

Release of Byrnes is addition by subtraction.

I can't stand this 2nd baseman dejour they've been trying the past couple years. But I like the rotation set-up....

Laroche was a nice pickup....

Looks like they got some of the Braves' sloppy 2nd's.

Well, it was the two weakest (offensive) positions on the field, so even sloppy 2nds was an upgrade.

That lineup makes it difficult for opposing teams to settle in a relief specialist.
