Who Thinks The Jets Have A Chance?

I do, but would look for points in a betting atmosphere, largely because, they are largely huge underdogs.

Love Ryan's scheme, great defense and ball control offense. This is a colossal match of David vs. Goliath.

BTW, not that it really matters to me, butt is Peyton Manning into Man-aise?? Has anybody ever asked him that question before? What does he do in his very limited spare time?

Inquiring minds want to know.

So far, I have been correct with regards to Tom Brady, and Kurt Warner. Is it now three for three?

I've been saying that the Jets would go down since the playoffs started, and I have been completely mistaken. I'll go out on another limb this week and say that Indy playing their starters for a full game will end the fairy tale for the Ryan and the boys. Heck of a first season any way you look at it.

If the Chargers had drafted Manning instead of Ryan Leaf, they probably wouldn't have had one. But uh...

And they might have a Super Bowl victory!

I honestly can't feel for the Chargers.

Uh, the Chargers DID draft Manning (the other one). He pulled a Smell-Way, though, and the Giants got a Super Bowl instead of San Diego.

I see a history of Favre superbowl. Jets/Vikes.

Well, if they had drafted the other one, they wouldn't have needed Eli, would they?

Defense wins championships.....so the Jets have chance.

They haven't turned the ball over (only 1 in the last 7 games now) and they are forcing turnovers. They get chunks of yardage on offense when they need to and they have solid special teams play.

Its not going to be pretty, but I've been calling for the a Jets/Cowboys Superbowl since the last week of the regular season.

At least half of my prediction is still intact.

Sure, the Jets have a chance. You don't make the NFL Final Four as a wild card team by beating a bunch of nobodies.

Anyway,I'll be waving my trusty "Irsay wand" at the Colts on Sunday to make sure they choke.

You make it sound like the Chargers' GM screwed the pooch on that. Short of attempting to trade up, he had no chance as Manning was taken #1. But it doesn't make much sense to spend the cost at #2 to get to #1. Perhaps at #5 or further down if you have an excess of later first-round picks to do it. And even if the Chargers were willing to do so, there was no way the Dolts were going to give up the #1 given the state of their offense (especially their QB depth) in the years leading up to the '98 draft. Outside of a brief window of opportunity under journeyman Jim Harbaugh (a potential first-round bust given up on by Chicago and subsequently by Indianapolis), the Dolts offense was fairly underwhelming before Manning, even if it didn't completely whomp. Sure, the hindsight tells us that the Leaf pick was a bust of magnificent proportions. But the fact remains that the Chargers had no realistic shot at Manning.

how annoying will the 2 weeks of press be if we have a Jets/Ryan v. Vikings/Favre matchup?

On AGS I picked the Jets to upset the Chargers, which isn't really an upset considering the Chargers inept coaching staff. Colts are not the Chargers, but the Jets will show up and make it a game for a while. Jets are better than their record due to the maturing of rookies Sanchez and Greene plus Ryan is a good first year coach.

But they had a hell of a realistic chance to keep Brees.

Jets are going to win. That D is unreal, and they have the best running game in football.
