I need help here...

I just saw this on the evening news, but can't find a link.

Apparently, there is a girl basketball player (I think they said she's in North Dakota, but don't quote me on that) who just made her season debut 3 months after almost getting killed when a drunk driver crashed into her bedroom. She supposedly drained ten points.

Has anyone heard this? Anyone find a link? Thanks.

Her?

http://kxnet.com/custom404.asp?404;http ... 518941.asp

November morning just past midnight, and the Klein family was in bed.

Lexi in her sophomore year at Bishop Ryan High School was already asleep in a downstairs bedroom when something happened that changed her life for the next three months.

Perry Olson has her story and the amazing pictures that illustrate just how lucky and strong this young woman is.

(buzzer letting her in game)

This happens every game numerous times but this is a big deal...because three months ago Lexi Klein was under this.

(Lexi Klein - BRHS Sophomore) "I remember it all. I was awake for it all. I thought it was an earthquake...but then came to my senses and realized we were in ND so it wasn't an earthquake!"

But it certainly shook her life up for the last three months. A drunk driver flew through her bedroom window pinning her between her bed and the car...

(Jim Klein - Father) "She broke her pelvis in three spots on the lower part where the hamstrings attach and she also had a fracture in the SI joint as well."

Dad was the first to get to her...

I hear you, the world would be a much better place if they would all just drive into a river. :D

Thanks, Jon. That's a great story.

BTW, I agree with ALL your sentiments. My grandfather was killed by a drunk while I was still a baby. I'm told he made one mean mess of spaghetti from scratch, but I never got to enjoy it.
