These two quotes help:

From Buster OlneyOne thing I'm certain of, is that the Rockies are really good.
Also, personally, I think the Rockies easily have the best team in franchise history and have fewer question marks than anyone else in the division.the Rockies should be clear preseason favorites to win the NL West.

I agree it's going to be fun.dbackjon wrote:NL West is going to be fun. I don't see any team running away with it.
Rockies have one of the best short stops in the league, and some of the top up and coming players.

Jorge De La Rosa submits the most dominating pitching performance of the baseball season so far in a 7-0 win over the Padres in the Rockies' home opener:
7 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 9 K
Jimenez and De La Rosa may just be the best 1-2 punch in baseball.

Roy Halliday/Cole Hamels and Felix Hernandez/Cliff Lee probably disagree.free7694 wrote:Jorge De La Rosa submits the most dominating pitching performance of the baseball season so far in a 7-0 win over the Padres in the Rockies' home opener:

Not to mention Josh Beckett/Jon Lester and perhaps even CC Sabathia/AJ BurnettShellin wrote:Roy Halliday/Cole Hamels and Felix Hernandez/Cliff Lee probably disagree.free7694 wrote:Jorge De La Rosa submits the most dominating pitching performance of the baseball season so far in a 7-0 win over the Padres in the Rockies' home opener:

Its also kinda foolish to hype a guy as part of the best duo in baseball when his best ERA to date is 4.38... in THE NL.

Heck the Sox second tier duo of John Lackey/Daisuke Matsuzaka has more proven dominance than the Rockies duoUNHWildCats wrote:Not to mention Josh Beckett/Jon Lester and perhaps even CC Sabathia/AJ BurnettShellin wrote:

Halladay is a boss but Hamels is incredibly overrated. If Lee gets on the field, then that will be true about him and King Felix.Shellin wrote:Roy Halliday/Cole Hamels and Felix Hernandez/Cliff Lee probably disagree.free7694 wrote:Jorge De La Rosa submits the most dominating pitching performance of the baseball season so far in a 7-0 win over the Padres in the Rockies' home opener:

He's got great stuff. We won't face anybody with better stuff — ever. He has as good of stuff as you'll see in the game.
