Football World Championships Schedule Set

The IFAF has announced the schedule for this year's Women's Football World Championship. As one might guess, Team USA will be the #1 seed even though the squad hasn't been announced yet. The participants will be split into two three-team groups for pool play, followed by the medal round.

Group B
#2 CAN
#3 GER
#6 SWE (Host)
Sun 6/27 #1 USA vs. #4 AUT, #2 CAN vs. #6 SWE
Tue 6/29 #4 AUT vs. #5 FIN, #6 SWE vs. #3 GER
Thu 7/1 #2 CAN vs. #3 GER, #1 USA vs. #5 FIN
Sat 7/3 5th Place Game, Bronze Medal Game, Gold Medal Game
The Team USA roster, which will be an Independent Women's Football Leauge all-star team, is to be announced sometime this spring. I'm hoping for a ton of Sacramento Sirens on the squad, especially Amy Williams, the best strong safety who ever lived.
