Agreed. But they do this sort of thing every year and they have remained competitive. Based on the Eagles recent history of letting players go, they actually kept Westbrook one year too many.93henfan wrote:

Just wait until you have T-Jack on your roster93henfan wrote:Won't happen.clenz wrote:Just wait until the Vikings or Cards get McNabb from them for next to nothing
Yeah, I thought Westbrook might get canned last off season...BlueHen86 wrote:Agreed. But they do this sort of thing every year and they have remained competitive. Based on the Eagles recent history of letting players go, they actually kept Westbrook one year too many.93henfan wrote:

Eagles aren't stupid Chaz. Ain't no way Jackson ends up on the Eagles if Kolb and Vick are there.clenz wrote:Just wait until you have T-Jack on your roster93henfan wrote:

Bundle deal. T-jack and a mid round pick for McNabb from VikingsJMU DJ wrote:Yeah, I thought Westbrook might get canned last off season...BlueHen86 wrote:

Again, no way you're dumping a worthless QB on the Eagles when they already have what they need at the position. If the Vikings are going to get McNabb, it's not going to be by giving the Eagles a QB in return, it will be from another skill position. Plus, you'd have to make a really sweet deal with the Eagles in order for them to give McNabb to another NFC opponent. Keep on dreaming the pipe dream that you will be able to pawn of Jackson and get something good in return.clenz wrote:Bundle deal. T-jack and a mid round pick for McNabb from VikingsJMU DJ wrote:

There's really not much you can say that could make anyone feel bad.ToTheLeft wrote:A Bucs Fan

How in the world does Sportscenter not check to make sure they're really talking to Brian Westbrook. Captain Janks (the caller) sounds nothing like a black dude.
No when interviewed on Stern this morning, the caller said he called up using his own voice and saying he was Westbrook's manager (Glenn Goldstein). He got that name from googling Philadelphia and Agent.93henfan wrote:Not even remotely close to sounding like B-West. Did they have a soft-spoken black guy go through the screening?
Do the Bucs still play football? Who knew?ToTheLeft wrote:Hey Eagles fans,

I was certainly one of the bigger B-Dawk fans out there, but the Eagles would've had the same problem with Dawkins that they had last year - no high quality safety. Dawkins was showing his age tremendously in his last year with the Birds as he ended up being moved to a position all of his own since he wasn't able to cut it anymore at the true free safety position. If people can cover for him, Dawkins can still do some things - but you need to modify the defense to fit him in. He wouldn't have been any better than what the Eagles ended up going with, simply because he could play the position anymore - that season ending game against the Cards and then watching Denver's defense struggle with him last year proved that. Dawkins was great in his day, probably one of the best ever, but his days were over.ngineer wrote:Westbrook was a class act and a fan favorite, but his time is over. No way could the Iggles justify keeping him for the cost and the high risk of not much production per the past two years. Sorry to see him go, but the handwriting was on the wall. Not really a surprise, as opposed to letting Dawkins go last year. THAT was a big mistake that shone through bright and clear this past season.
