The Liberty men's hockey team closed out their home season with a 6-5 and 4-3 (SO) sweep of Oakland University this weekend. The Flames will enter the ACHA Tournament ranked #6 with a 28-2-1 pending results of the last road trip 26/27 FEB at Oklahoma.

Yeah, women's hockey is top 5 as well, I believe.

That being said, the level of hockey we're on is pretty weak. But wins are wins, and we have lots of them! And the games are fun to watch.

so exactly what is up with Liberty Hockey?

I did a double take at first because I didnt remember ever hearing anything about them, a quick look showed me they obviously arent Div I.

I then looked on the Liberty athletic site and no hockey. I googled as was taken to the Liberty school site where theres a hockey section.

What is ACHA?
