He is changing his number from 23 to 6. Everybody has to buy new jerseys, clothes, etc and he gets to make money again on his previous customers.
Great job LJ.

Any smart superstar would change his/her number as often as possible to generate money from fans that have already purchased jackets, jerseys, coffee mugs, etc... Maybe 3 times in a career?

MJ had 23 and 45
Kobe has 8 and 24
Shaq gets a new number with every team he goes to
I don't disagree with you. Make a number famous for about 2 or 3 years then get a new one.

Kobe did it to one up LeBron, not MJ.
6 is his Olympic number...

Agree on Beadle.
