Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has been accused of sexual assault by a young woman in Georgia, TMZ has learned.

The alleged incident occurred early this morning at Capital City -- a club in Milledgeville, Georgia.

According to law enforcement sources, the alleged victim -- who has already been interviewed by police -- was treated at a local hospital and released.

We're told in addition to the alleged victim, witnesses are being interviewed -- and one law enforcement source says they will attempt to interview Roethlisberger.

What do you mean, again? He was ACCUSED by some golddigger in Reno (or maybe it was Tahoe, those sin towns in NV tend to blend together after a while....), but it came out that she was faking to get $$ after he turned her down, apparently.

Until the details come out, I don't give any credence to this. Besides, why the cr@p would he be in GA? Isn't it fairly close to mini-camp time?

He is in georgia because the police there have already interviewed him.

You ever heard of these things called planes? It wouldn't take him very long to fly from Georgia to mini-camp.

Faggleburger is a piece of shit, has proven himself to be not very smart off the field. I hope he gets suspended from the NFL.

That's his agent talking.. It's not like agents would try to make their client look good.

Regardless of whether it is true or not, he's kinda dumb to place himself in this sort of situation.

I agree with that - while it may be a bummer, the dude has to realize with all that money and with the one allegation already hanging over his head, that he should just avoid these situations entirely. Hanging out at a bar or restaurant with women he doesn't know may be something a normal single guy in his 20's can and does do, but he's far from normal. Kinda similar to when Charles Barkley kept going to bars and getting taunted into fights with people - eventually, you just have to avoid being there altogether to make sure it doesn't happen. Big Ben should just stay in his very, very big house and have the girls come to him.
