Matthew Clemmens, 21, of Cherry Hill, N.J., was charged with assault, reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct and related offenses for the incident at Wednesday night's Phillies-Nationals game. He was being held Friday on $36,000 bail.
Police say Clemmens made himself vomit on an off-duty police captain and one of his daughters after Clemmens' companion was kicked out of Citizens Bank Park for unruly behavior, which included cursing, spitting and spilling beer by Clemmens and a friend.
I especially liked THIS part:
Vangelo said he tried to push his children safely behind him, and Clemmens punched him in the face. Four or five fans in the next section rushed to help, Vangelo said. They held him until police arrived -- someone punching Clemmens in the face as he tried to break free -- and an officer was also hit with vomit, Vanore said.
Just another day at the ballpark, eh Phils fans?

Philly fans, football/baseball are the most knowledgeable fans out there.

The family that was puked on and the responding officers were Phillies fans too. Should we start a thread entitled "Phuckin Phils Phans - Phighting Criminals and Taking Phucking Names"?
AzGriz takes the easy route. Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
Ah...yes...sure....I can see how I would mistake a "Wideright82 Spotting" thread for one about a Phillies fan puking on another fan.
But you post on EVERY thread. And you know EVERYTHING.
Sorry, I just thought you would have known.
And I thought you were God this whole time...
You might be confusing AZ with dback.

No, he was right. I was having an awkward moment, just to see what it felt like. After all, I AM the most interesting man in the world.
There is another poster on this site that might have a different opinion.

Did you know that there were 132 arrests made at the LA Dodgers home opener this year?
Did you know that is more people than were arrested at every Phila professional sporting event for all of last year?
Probably not, because the national media likes to dump on Phila, so arrests in LA don't make the news; but a guy puking in Philly does.
I bet a lot more people remember that Philly fans threw snow balls at Santa Clause overs 40 years ago than remember the White Sox fan who ran out on the field and attacked the First base ump a few years ago.
Philly is an easy target for lazy people, even if the facts show that it's no different than any other major sports city.

Oh, puh-LEASE. I'm POSITIVE there's a different "tolerance level" in Philly as to what constitutes an "arrestable" offense than in that communist country known as Chavez Ravine.

How so? Can you give an example of when a Philly fan got away with something that would have gotten him arrested in another town?

Nope. Never been to a Phils game. Wouldn't want to end up in the hospital for wearing my Diamondbacks jersey.
