NAU wins 2nd straight Big Sky Men's All-Sports Trophy

The Northern Arizona University men’s programs captured the Big Sky Conference All-Sports trophy for the second consecutive year, and ninth time in school history.
The Northern Arizona men rolled up 80 total points, for an average of 13.3 points per sport. The Lumberjacks captured titles in men’s cross country and men’s outdoor track and field. NAU was second in men’s basketball, and third in football and indoor track and field. Northern Arizona’s nine Men’s All-Sports Trophies are second in conference history to Weber State’s 14.
Weber State finished second in the men’s race, averaging 11.6 points per sport. The Wildcats were second in cross country, indoor track and field, and third in basketball, tennis and outdoor track and field. Montana finished third with an average of 9.17 points per sport. The Grizzlies won the football championship, garnering 24 points.

The Sacramento State women capped a sensational 2007-08 athletic season by winning the outdoor track and field championship last week on their home track. Sacramento State scored 91 total points during the 2007-08 season, averaging 11.4 points per sport. The Hornets captured regular-season titles in soccer, and tennis, claimed a share of the regular-season volleyball title, and captured the indoor track and field championship.
