UMass senior OL Vlad Ducasse goes in the second round ( 61st overall) of the NFL draft to NY Jets
The first FCS player taken this year...

Awesome. Best of luck to him. I don't think I've ever seen him play unless he played in the '06 championship game(?)

He was a freshman...did not play in the NC game...but was there...

Andre Roberts of the Citadel was the 2nd (I believe) FCS player taken at #88. Mel Kiper is high on him despite the "inferior competition" he played against in college.

He's a big kid. He didn't impress me much this year when I saw him play against UD in Newark, but one bad game does not a bad offensive lineman make. Can't teach that kind of size and quickness.

And just about everyone who has worked with him (UMass and Senior Bowl staff) told the Jets he is extremely coachable...thus, the interest...
He'll do well on Sundays...
