Truely pathetic.

Didn't the move the Expos because that is what their stadium looked like during games?

Hey, they beat my Sox three straight...

They are a young team with some talent coming up from the farm system...

If Angelos doesn't force them to trade that talent for over-the-hill names...maybe the team will be better in the future...

A couple weekends ago I chuckled to myself when I saw the O's were playing the Twins. Because I coudl watch the game but didn't want to, and you prolly wanted to but couldn't. It was quite the Iowa moment.

It's just the powerhouse Natinals siphoning off fans.

I did want to watch the games. Instead I sat outside with my car radio on listening to the game. Apparently the AM dials on most radios/stereo systems that are sold now don't actually work. However, my car radio rarely leaves the AM dial.

The Orioles have the worst record in baseball and are currently averaging 22,580 per home game - good for 22nd in the major leagues.

The Rays have the best record in baseball and are currently averaging 23,123 per home game - good for 20th in the league. This figure is actually infalted a bit due to the summer concert series they have going on selcted Saturdays after ballgames. These games always come close to selling out. Which is worse?

You see Rays shirts, hats, flags, bumpersticker, etc. everywhere you go down here - people just don't come out to that ugly ass stadium to watch the games.

In the Orioles defense, it was a cold rainy Monday night. If I had bought tickets, I wouldn't have gone. Paid attendance was just under 10,000.

Still amazing though - what used to be a storied, admired, and more importantly, successful on the field franchise, has basically turned into an absolutely irrelevant team. And it's been that way for at least a good ten years now. And with the Yanks and Sox and Rays in their division, the hopes of catching lightning in the bottle for just one of those "one year wonders" years isn't really possible either. I'm not sure how they ever turn it around either. Is their farm system anywhere good enough?

The farm system is loaded with pitchers that are a year or two away. McPhail is building the team the right way, but the team is absolutely pathetic now. And Trembley is horrible.
It doesn't help having Roberts out either.

Sad to see a ballpark that cool be so friggin empty, but it's hard to blame the O's fans because they're generally non-competitive.

At least I live only an hour away & can get great seats to a game. Totally opposite of CBP.

Yep. First thing I looked for when the schedule was released was when the Phils played the Orioles and whether or not the series was in Philly or Baltimore, hoping for the latter. Stupid MLB has us paired with the Red Sox apparently, and Baltimore with the Natinals. We get the Red Sox home and away and no O's at all.

After the wire to wire season in 1997, Davey Johnson retired/fired. Ray Miller couldn't handle managing the superstart line up and the team just started collecting paychecks and stopped showing up to play.
Then they signed Albert Belle to a 5 year deal in which he only played two and refused to retire with his degenerative hip disorder and the O's had to continue to keep him on the roster. Then Angelos bungled the Mussina resigning saying he wasn't going to have someone who only plays every 5 games be his highest paid player. Being burned by Joey Belle, he refused to pay long term contracts to big name player and turned to signing big name has beens. And until two years ago refused to even talk to Boras.
During this 13 year long decline, the Yankees and Red Sox has entered a salary race while the stupid Nat's took half our fans.

I had season ticket 95, 96, 97, 98. I saw this coming and canceled when we signed Belle. Man I hated him more than anything back then.

I loved the O's-Phils interleague match up. My brother used to get me tickets to that series for my birthday. The year they had the 83 World Series rematch before the actual game was awesome!

My Dad was a huge Senators fan too. My brother and I had finally converted him 3 years ago. At a family party he even was wearing a O's hat and his good friend(also a Senator fan) came up to him and said, "I never thought this day would come." and He's gone back.

What's pathetic is that you are able to clearly pick out all of the Stadium Employees at the game. Just look at the gates. I think I counted more employees than fans.
