I wonder...does the Arizona immigration law apply to Canadians?

The last one in Edmonton, they had to warm the pucks to get them to the proper cold temperature...It was Montreal @ Edmonton and it was like -5F out there

I believe it, I've had the "pleasure" of being in Edmonton in early January.

Where you staying? I made a reservation at the old Hilton just across the river(changed ownership, can't remember the name...Palomino's restaurant used to be in the first floor). Of course, this is ASSUMING my friend got tickets like he said he was going to, and ASSUMING I can go. I should check up on that.

We have one big room there and another room somewhere a couple blocks from there. We are still trying to figure out the logistics of parking/tailgaiting. I think the game is either noon or 1pm so we're going to have to get up early to be able to tailgate. I think it's walking distance from the hotel over the bridge (I'm guessing they have a walking option on that bridge?).
Any Duquesne fans here to help?

Yes, it's walking distance from that hotel over the bridge. I've also stayed at the Marriott Courtyard, also walking distance. They close the bridge to vehicles for Pirates/Steelers games, I don't see why they wouldn't for the Penguins.

The forecast is looking crappy right now for the game. They have reserved Heinz Field for Sunday in case they can't get it in on Saturday. That's really going to F things up.

It's gonna be a close-played thing if it goes to Sunday since there's something in NBC's contract that prevents them from competing with the NFL. Hence 89's comment about "F['ing] things up." The game would HAVE to be played in the morning, which will kill attendance.
If it doesn't get played at all this weekend, it will get moved back indoors.

I disagree with that. As a travelling fan, I would MUCH rather have it in the morning than later in the day if it were moved to Sunday. Our hotel reservation is for Saturday night. I'd much rather get up, go to the game and then get on the road while it's still daytime.
That said, it will kill ratings if it's Sunday at any time.
Could be moot anyway as Sunday's forecast is worse than Saturday's. The problem for us is they probably won't announce the plan until later morning on Saturday... we'll be well on the road to Pittsburgh by then.

Hang in there. Still five days for the weatherman to be wrong. Hope it all works out for you. I even hope your sorry assed Caps beat the even sorrier-assed Pens.

At least snow is no longer in the forecast, since it should be in the mid-40s/low-50s. But rain is a threat.

Isn't Hen a die-hard Flyers fan?

Yup, but I've adopted the Caps as my #2 team. I've been to both Caps/Flyers games down here and wear a Flyers jersey. The other games, I wear red.

I doubt it. Ovie isn't having a very good offensive year thus far by his usual standards, while Crosby is playing out of his mind. Ovie is in the top 5 in the league in hits/checks though, so maybe he'll plant Crosby's face in the glass a time or two.

Now there's something we can all agree on.

Anyone been watching the 24/7 series on HBO? Good stuff right there. It's great to see all these guys off the ice, as well as on. Even Crosby doesn't seem like such a complete douche off the ice. Although I'm sure he has sex with small woodland creatures on the team bus as often as he can with his creepy ass 'stache.

Saw one episode last week. It is good, but I'm pretty sure whenever Bruce Boudreau said something, every other word was the F-bomb.
Unfortunately, my work schedule is crazy this month, so I don't have time to watch any of the rest of the series.

That's why DVR are great. And repeats ad nauseum can be a good thing, too.
