Wow. That's one helluva statement to make. About 99% of America would disagree with you here. Posada is injured for one. Jeter is on pace for 200 hits. How is that embarrassing their "legacy"?

Jeter looks slow. He came close to throwing TWO balls away to first - both took great saves by Texiera to get the outs.
Posada, well, at 39, and a catcher, he is beaten.
I like seeing great players retire when they are still good, not mere shadows of themselves

I won't get into the age debate here, just say that in general I like older players.
I'm also not a D-Back fan, but given that I absolutely ABHOR the Yankees, I'll say this:
