Tony Larussa Steps in Shit

It's a little tense in the Cardinals Clubhouse right now.

Players like Pujols, Molina, and Lopez reportadly not speaking to their manager right now.

In an interview with a St. Louis beat writer he was asked about the teabagger protesters outside the stadium when the d-backs were in town. He said he supports the teabagger movement and the anti-hispanic law in Arizona. Someone did some research and it was discovered that he has made a significant donation to the teabaggers, a number with 5 0's in it.

Not bright when the face of your entire franchise is Hispanic.

Get this arrogant self righteous douche the hell out of town.

His players didn't climb a fence or swim a river to play ball. What's wrong with the guy having an opinion?

I've done several Google searches...I can't find any "anti-hispanic" laws recently passed in Arizona...

Can you please point out which "anti-hispanic" law was passed...because I'm hispanic, and I'll be pissed if they did pass one... :coffee:

You'll need to ask Pujols, Molina, or Lopez that question.

Requiring people with brown skin to carry proof of residency or citizinship without requiring the same of white people.

That's called racial profiling.

No...you're applying racist liberal thought to a law you don't like...

There is NOTHING in the law about "brown skin" people...the law will only impact people who are in this country illegally...

Oh...I get it...you support illegal aliens... :coffee:

I'm not sure how enforcing the law is racist. Sure, most of the people breaking the law happen to be hispanic in Arizona, but that doesn't make it a racist law.

We have a problem, and it needs to be stopped sometime.

Neither do I...so I'll repeat my challenge...

SHOW ME WHERE THE LAW HAS ANYTHING RACIST IN IT...

You can't...can you.....

Just admit you don't like the law...that I can accept...but your claims can't be backed up by fact... :coffee:

It's great to see the little cunty Democrats trying to make this a race issue. The people breaking the law are hispanic in large part so they have the most to fear but I'll bet you that anyone else that is breaking this law will be treated exactly the same way. It's especially silly to listen to a whiny fuck talking about AZ's law when they don't live whit the problem everyday and sit in their little community with a "I know what's best for the little people" mentality.

We should probably get rid of antitrust law and RICO laws since they mostly target Italians, & White guys huh?

Tony LaRussa supports a law. Pujols doesn't. Pujols is the fucking joke here. It's too bad that he is the face of an organization cuz it looks bad for them having a guy with that little integrity & character in that position.

Pujols is Dominican. Lopez and Molina are Puerto Ricans. All are here legally. If the voting people of a state want a law, people in other states should STFU.

I'm white and I have to show a driver's license any time I'm pulled over. I'm not sure I'm getting what you're saying. If you're here legally you don't have an issue.

That's been gone over from about every angle now. He keeps bringing these threads and getting summarily trounced.on them. Some libs are trying to desperately to keep this out there as a race issue. It's shows how dishonest they are to those that can see through it but I'm sure it sounds good in their meetings and to a few that can't think for themselves.

You pompous liberal fucks never cease to amaze me. What's interesting is that in your blind hatred, you so totally and complete twist the facts that I'm embarrassed FOR you. The world is laughing AT you, not with you, OB. Larussa said NOTHING about the "teabagger movement". He said NOTHING about an "anti-hispanic law in Arizona." If you'll read THIS story:

http://www.azcentral.com/sports/diamond ... n-law.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

...as linked in my original thread on this subject, you'll see he merely voiced his support of Arizona's right to defend itself against the invasion.

Arizona's law (all 12 pages), almost EXACTLY mirrors the Federal law (you know, the federal law that your hero Obama called "divisive" yeserday??)   But hey, don't bother educating yourself by actually READING the law, OB...you're in the same uneducated, idiotic camp as Obama, Napolitano, and Holder---people who make up their opinion based on sound bites, party talking points and political expediency.

But don't worry, OB. The illegal cockroaches are abandoning Arizona like rats off a sinking ship, and just as many are traveling North, West and East as are headed south back to Mexico....so, with any luck several thousand of these wonderful, benevolent, hard-working, law abiding illegals will travel to YOUR state and be ILLINOIS' problem here in the next few weeks...

Now, why don't you go back to worrying about the corruptness of Chicago politics and let Arizona govern itself. :thumb: We've got it covered down here....and the irony of it is this: A governor (Brewer) who's NEVER been elected to a public office has probably just punched her ticket to the Governor's mansion for as long as she wants it with her support of this law.

edit: one more thing: Pujols, Molina, et. al., can go fuck themselves. This country has given them the opportunity to get filthy, stinking rich by being here LEGALLY. They should remember that.

I wonder how informed on the subject LaRussa really is. I will admit that I am uninformed on this issue, so when someone brings it up as a talking point it makes Arizona look bad.

However, I give the people of Arizona the benefit of the doubt. This should be a states rights issue, if the people of Arizona think they need these laws a jackass in Missouri (LaRussa) or a jackass in Pennsylvania (Me) should just STFU.

All this debate is cr@zy.

I'm not saying whether or not I support this law given that I have not read it. But if this is indeed a case of "racial profiling," try comparing that to "job profiling."

Truckers are required on a daily basis to have an entire freaking binder of documentation; this binder has to be on their person 24/7, even when they're not on the road. And that doesn't even include their horrendously detailed log.

I haven't heard anything about this law that comes even close to what truckers have to endure. Perhaps we should revert to post-revolution France, where EVERYONE had to have some sort of documentation. But what I've heard in the media doesn't even come close to much to complain about.
