The Bulls must make a strong case to James on Saturday to get him to take what would be $30 million less than the Cavaliers could offer. Sources say one team that all but eliminated itself with James in the presentation process was the New York Knicks. James met with the organization on Friday and his inner circle has described New York’s presentation as lacking preparedness and organization. James’ camp also found it to be redundant to much of the New Jersey Nets’ far sharper, edgier presentation on James’ earning power.

James hasn’t been convinced that he can overcome the $30 million difference between possible Cleveland and New York offers through endorsements and other streams of revenue. However, Russian billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov’s vision of bulking up James’ international portfolio did resonate with him, and the Nets’ vision of using Brooklyn and the owner’s international muscle does appeal to him.

Sources say James is dubious his mere presence on the Knicks will be worth that much more to him in endorsements.

This isn't directed at you Travis, but the NBA as a whole...

:whocares:

I stopped caring about the NBA when Michael retired from the Bulls (for good), when John Stockton and Karl Malone retired, and when Phil Jackson won his first title in L.A. Jackson was born here in Deer Lodge and I despise the Lakers so when he went over to the dark side, I said fug it.

You despise the Lakers even though they're coached by a guy from your hometown, yet you root for the Yankees?

I'm thoroughly confused.

How many times am I gonna have to explain this on message boards? I know for fact I have at least 5 times here...

My dad's parents moved to Garrison, MT from THE BRONX. My grandpa grew up a stone throw away from Yankee Stadium. My sister lives in NYC. I make the pilgrimage at least once a year. My first article of clothing was a Yankees shirt. Do I need to go on? One more thing...I went to high school with a relative of George Steinbrenner.

Bullshit! You gotta go as local as possible. He ought to be rooting for the Mariners or Rockies.

I have relatives in the Bronx and in New Jersey and I'll be damned if you'll ever see me wearing anything representing that bandwagon fanbase.

Ok, you don't like the NBA.

There, obviously, are a lot of people that do care.

I root for LA Lakers, Green Bay Packers, Chicago Black Hawks and Detroit Tigers all somewhat local to North Dakota, because Minnesota has never had a pro sports team.
