I don't understand why Travis wants Red Sox players on the all-star team. It's better if they rest. Also, they end up using all-star selections come contract negotiations. The team ends up paying more for them, or letting them go.JoltinJoe wrote:Because Girardi picked Paul Konerko over Kevin Youkilis to take Justin Morneau's spot on the AL all-star roster.
Don't tell him that Girardi delegated the decision to Joba Chamberlain.
Youkilis deserves it more.DJH wrote:Konerko deserved it.
So what? Are you that upset that Youkilis won't get one at bat on Tuesday? That is all he likely would have gotten.UNHWildCats wrote:Youkilis deserves it more.DJH wrote:Konerko deserved it.
Agreed, with the exception that there should be at least five starting pitchers and maybe three relievers. Nobody wants their ace blown out in an exhibition. I would be more than content with Uncle Cholly keeping Doc on the bench all night on Tuesday. And feel free to let Tim Hudson pitch all night.BlueHen86 wrote:So what? The all star game sucks. When they go to 25 man rosters and get rid of the requirement that every team gets one rep then I may start watching again.
How about 3 starters and 5 relievers. The problem with starters is that you can't use them if they pitched the weekend before the game. Just about any reliever you pick should be ready to go.93henfan wrote:Agreed, with the exception that there should be at least five starting pitchers and maybe three relievers. Not a bad plan, but what happens if the last relievers are going in a tie game and Bud Selig is still alive?BlueHen86 wrote:How about 3 starters and 5 relievers. 3 starters pitch 2 innings each, then let the relievers do their job.
Home run derby to decide the game, or let an infielder pitch.93henfan wrote:Not a bad plan, but what happens if the last relievers are going in a tie game and Bud Selig is still alive?BlueHen86 wrote:

I'm sensing a kindred spirit in thinking that those videos are about as hack as one can get these days.Rob Iola wrote:This is all just so sad...
Maybe you can make one of those Hitler videos where he rails against Girardi and no Youkoulis in the ASG - those are funny...
Oh c'mon. The first 1,500 or so were kind of funny.Ursus A. Horribilis wrote:I'm sensing a kindred spirit in thinking that those videos are about as hack as one can get these days.Rob Iola wrote:This is all just so sad...

The first ONE was funny. All the rest of the unimaginative fucks doing the same god damn thing are not funny at all.93henfan wrote:Oh c'mon. The first 1,500 or so were kind of funny.Ursus A. Which was the first one you saw? For me, it was the North Dakota "but we still have hockey" one. If that was also your first, then I agree with what you said I said.Ursus A. That's what I got out of what you said there. I'm pretty sharp with the sarcasm stuff.
I completely agree with what I said you said.
