Any closet Rams fans on this board? I know there's a couple from Missouri State. Then between Jon, DKHardee and I we'd have the division covered.

I am. They are they only non-Philly team that I follow. I've been a fan since Chuck Knox was the coach, James Harris was the QB and Lawrence McCutcheon was the main RB. Jack Youngblodd is my favorite fottball player of all time.Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:Any closet Rams fans on this board? I know there's a couple from Missouri State. I think Bradford is good for 4-5 wins his rookie season, but that's pending he doesn't get too hurt. He's gonna be on the ground a lot this year.
I like that this year the division is wide open for the most part, certainly more so than in years past. The Niners might have a slight edge on paper, but 8-8 does not a division crown make.

Knox coached them in the mid to late 70's. They won the division almost every year under him but always lost in the playoffs to either Dallas or Minnesota.Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:BlueHen86 wrote:

).

He was a good coach that just couldn't seem to get his team over top, very simliar to Marty Schottenheimer.
As for this year, I don't expect much. I don't think Bradford will be the starter at the beginning of the year, I think it will depend on how well the offensive line protects Feeley. If the O-line can't protect Feeley then there is no way that Bradford will play.

I think Knox took over for former college coach Tommy Prothro, the first old fart in the league to be HC since Halas. Knox did a MUCH better job than Prothro did.
BTW, in the late '70s when I first became aware of football, other than Danny White and Jim Plunkett, I liked Vince Ferragamo. Too bad he ruined his career with that jump to Canada....

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

I think Seattle has the better system in place the last few years, Hasselback is just out of gas. I was really dissappointed in the draft they didnt try and get something better to start working on more of a replacement ( though now that I think about it, I know we got rid of Wallace, but who did we get in return? Ive been out of the loop with that).

Re: Official 2010 NFC West Thread
Hasselbeck isn't out of gas. He's had no O-line to protect him. Last year we had like 15 different starting front 5 combos. When you constantly have injuries on the O-line and have to switch it up, there's no cohesion with the group. It all starts with the line.elmer towns wrote:I think Seattle has the better system in place the last few years, Hasselback is just out of gas. I think we got a 4th round pick for Wallace (I know, he's worth a lot more than that). We picked up Charlie Whitehurst from SD and signed J.P. Losman as solid backups, with Whitehurt having the potential to start when Matt is gone. We'll have Matt for at least another 3 years after this season if the line can protect him... which is why Okung is was a must.

ESPN is reporting that the Rams are interested in signing T.O., the Bengals are also interested in signing T.O.

Yes it would, because Leinart is garbage. Granted he's better than Alex Smith in SF, but it doesn't take much.UNI31f wrote:The loss of Warner may not have been THAT bad had you not also lost Rolle and Boldin...Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:

I'm not normally a fan of intra-division trades, but would anyone be up for Leinart-for-Hasselbeck, straight up? Would a reunion with Tiger Carroll benefit Leinart? Would a change of scenery help Hasselbeck now that Holmgren (the world's biggest Hasselbeck fan) is gone?

Is that "no" as in you wouldn't support it? Or "no" as in such a trade wouldn't benefit the players? Or is it both?dbackjon wrote:SuperHornet wrote:I'm not normally a fan of intra-division trades, but would anyone be up for Leinart-for-Hasselbeck, straight up? Re: Official 2010 NFC West Thread
Hell no. Hasselbeck is still a probowl level QB... when he has a line to protect him. Leinart may never be. I'd say he's on the cusp whereby a less than 8 win season means he gets the boot.SuperHornet wrote:I'm not normally a fan of intra-division trades, but would anyone be up for Leinart-for-Hasselbeck, straight up? Hasselbeck is a has been. Uh no because it would be a bad trade for the Cardinals
NFC West QB rankings at the end of the season:
1) Matt Leinart
2T) Matt Hasselbeck and Alex Smit
4) Sam Bradford

He's not a has been. He's a been having no line. The Cards would not have gone to the playoffs the last two years if they had injuries like Seattle has on the O-line, even with Kurt Warner.dbackjon wrote:Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:

I have a hard time believing a QB who hasn't proven shit, and has more or less flopped in his appearances (on and off the field) is the best QB in the division.dbackjon wrote:Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:
