Our first baseman from 2009, who was drafted by the Diamondbacks, is leading the minor leagues in HR, with 26 (last I checked.) He's in Advanced A (Visalia Rawhide) but is leading everyone, even Triple A. He has been the POTW twice. I think they haven't moved him up because of his K's. He needs to improve there.
In the meantime, our catcher from 2009 (BenTheriot) was moved from Adv A Wilmington to AA NW Arkansas (Royals)

Our boy did good. I'm still not sure why they didn't move him up...guess they're going to let him develop slowly. (That and he needs to cut down on the K's)
Goldschmidt MVP

I just looked up his stats... seems like a well rounded offensive player, aside from the high K total... I doubt thats whats preventing him from being promoted though... some teams have a slow philoshiphy so as not to harm a players development... If this were a red sox player he would likely play 2 weeks or so at A to start next season and then move up to AA. No sense on rushing the guy along...
