93HenFan's other thread inspired this...
I'm in a whole bunch of leagues, work, college/first job friends, business school, + 2 more...
10 team league - 3pts for TD pass, Start QB/2RB/2WR/1TE/1RB-WR-TE/PK/DEF, no PPR (Business School - same group of guys since 2002 - semi-serious league as 3 or 4 guys barely pay attention near the end of the draft) Draft was last Thursday
QB - Cutler, Big Ben
RB - S. Jackson, Forte, Cadillac, Bradshaw, Forsett
WR - Randy Moss, Calvin Johnson, Greg Jennings, Sidney Rice
TE - Witten
PK - Shayne Graham (oops - will be replacing him before the opener)
Def - Cardinals
Had the 8th pick overall, so all the best backs gone, by the time came around to me for round 3, all the backs looked the same, so I decided to load up on WR in hopes of having a good flex or a good trade bait. Hopefully Cutler holds down the fort until Ben gets back. The Cards D has a pretty easy schedule and they should be on the field a lot so hopefully will cause some TO's.
12 team league - 3pts for TD pass, Start QB/2RB/2WR/1TE/PK/DEF, no PPR (work - lots of turnover, lots of fantasy newbies) Auction was a few weeks ago due to vacations, holidays, and the fact that I have so many drafts to schedule.
QB - Kolb/Young
RB - Chris Johnson, Mendenhall, Cadillac, Spiller (helped by Jackson and Lynch injuries after draft), Arian Foster (helped by Tate injury after draft)
WR - Jennings, Ward, TO, Avery (out for season)
TE - Winslow
PK - Folk
D - Eagles
This one was an auction, and once I bought Johnson at big $$$ I was looking at piecing things together in a lot of places. Downside of drafting early is all the injuries that occur - 4 impacted this team (although 3 seem to have helped me, so I'm not complaining). Irony is, I was deciding between Laurent Robinson and Avery, but chose Avery (oops) or I would have been 4 for 4.
12 team league, forced number of spots per position - start QB/2RB/2WR/1TE/1RB-WR-TE/PK/3 defenders PPR, 6 points for passing TD plus points don't start until 75 rushing or receiving and 225 passing
QB - Rodgers/Young
RB - McCoy/Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams/Huggins/F. Jackson
WR - Andre Johnson, Ocho, Floyd, Bryant
TE - Heath Miller, Shockey
Defenders - James Harrison, Demarcus Ware, Antoine Winfield, Brandon Meriwether, Tracey Porter
After grabbing Johnson and Rodgers in the auction, I couldn't afford a top RB, but figured as long as Brown and Williams solidify who's getting all the points, I'll be good at RB
12 team league, dynasty with salary cap - easily the craziest league I've ever heard of start QB/2RB/2WR/1TE/1RB-WR-TE/PK/2 DL/3 LB/3 DB
QB - Rodgers, Favre, Stafford, Skelton (Fordham), Flynn
RB - ADP, MJD, Wells, R. Bush, McCoy, Best, Bernard Scott
WR - Wayne, Austin (Monmouth), DJax, VJax (Northern Colo), Roddy White, Jerome Simpson (CCU), Armanti Edwards (App), Andre Roberts (Citadel), Damian Williams
TE - Dallas Clark, Greg Olson
PK - Buehler
DL - Biermann (Montana), Shaughnessy, Calais Campbell
LB - Stephen Cooper (Maine), Geno Hayes, Dan Connor, Jameel McClain, Cameron Wake, Clint Session
DB - Pollard, Tanard Jackson, Chris Harris, Antoine Winfield, Dawan Landry
3 first round picks next year too - 2 should be in the top 4 of the draft - plus 2 2nd's, 3 3rds, and a 4th.
The offensive makeup of this team is awesome - I had most of these guys last year too, plus Drew Brees, Ryan Grant, and Kevin Kolb - all of whom I had to trade due to cap issues (with Beanie Wells joining the team). The other result of the cap issues is that my defense is basically all guys that I'm paying close to the minimum. FCS has helped me big time as I was onto everyone one of my FCS players long before anyone else, and so I have them cheaply. Last year I had 20% more points than the runner up. This year, I'm closer to the pack, but with a nice mix of youth and experience, could be setup for a good long run at the top of this league.
One more draft to go Tuesday, then its finally gametime
