Is better than anyone on your team. I'll listen to arguments from Rangers fans only.

BABIP is higher than his career average. (Minors included)

Isolated power numbers are up.

Homerun to flyball ratio is WAY up.

He's good, just not as good as these numbers suggest.

Um....Denard Span, Joe Mauer, Justin Morneau, Delmon Young, Cuddy, and Orlando Husdon would all be on my team before him....

No, Yes, No, No, No, No

I'd rather have Longoria. Or Crawford.

And I thought I was a douchebag.

I'd take Kevin Youkilis, Jacoby Ellsbury, Dustin Pedroia over him any day of the week. I'd certainly take him for my team, but to say he is better than anyone on any other team thats not Texas is just idiotic.

Uh...you realy wouldn't want Morneau (really?), a utitlity player like Cuddy play has played everywhere but short, second, and pitcher that can hit 25 HR a year, and have you looked at the numbers Young is putting up?

Cuddy did play second this year. :coffee:

Ok...every position except short and pitcher.

I forgot about that game. I had to google it to figure out what game it was.

Long of it short...the dude can play anywhere he is needed, hits for a decent average, and pretty good power the last couple years.

That puts him on my team

I'll take him on my team, as long as he's able to bring Coors Field along and keep hitting there.

I'd rather have CarGo than Morneau. More versatile. I like Morneau, but I prefer a player that's more all around like CarGo.

Cuddy is Ben Zobrist with some more power and not as good of a glove. And I wouldn't take him over CarGo. Not saying he's a bad player. Just not the kind of guy I want instead of Carlos.

And I would hope you know where Delmon Young came from. I know all about him. He's a great player but was a locker room cancer in Tampa. If I could get Delmon Young with Ben Zobrist's personality, then hell yeah, I'd love to have him.

I know his attitude issues in Tampa...that hasn't been the case in MN though. It's amazing what a strong leadership presense in the locker room can do for a player.

Gardy doesn't really have to do the "discipline" with players, the team takes care of problem players.

To be honest, it takes a guy with a helluva backbone to put up with the kind of losing and lack of support from the front office that went on in the Devil Rays era. Delmon didn't want to be a part of that. If I could take him back right now, I would (if I was the theoretical GM).

I'm still not sure if I like him more than Carlos, but he's a really good player. I think he'd fit in well on this current Rays team.

I'm going to ignore our statements on Denard Span, Delmon Young, Michael Cuddyer anf Orlando Hudson, because those are just idiotic, but I will address Mauer and Morneau.

They're both excellent players, no doubt, but neither has anywhere near Gonzalez' speed. My main beef with Morneau is injuries, and the fact that there are about 12 Justin Morneaus floating around baseball right now. Mauer is probably the best argument anyone has made yet because of his position, but I'll still take Gonzalez because he's three years younger, has more power, and provides good defense at all 3 outfield spots.

the RBI total is nice, but thats a product of the lineup. His .303/.334/.488 doesnt come close to comparing to CarGo...

The OBP does. CarGo doesn't walk often, so his OBP is comparable in the sense that it's not much higher than his BA.

Gonzalez is batting .394 with 25 HR and 66 RBI at Coors field. You can have him, good player, but on any other team he's a .280 hitter with 15-20 HR's and 80 RBI.

If Coors Field has that much of an effect, let's just give Ubaldo Jimenez the Cy Young right now.

It's not "IF", Coors Field "DOES" have that much of an affect. Look at Gonzalez stats on the road.
