No kidding :ohno: He was one of my keepers for my fantasy team this season, and part of the reason I got clubbed like a baby seal yesterday  He's got a load of receivers, but he's playing more like Jake Delhomme this season - he seemed to be confused about who was wearing the home and away jerseys yesterday. :dunce:

Boy o' boy he looked awful yesterday - and after showing some life in the 2nd half against the Jets. What in the world's happened to his confidence? He refuses to step into his throws...

Not a great start to the season for Flacco, but the Ravens opened the season on the road with 2 games against tough opponents. The Jets have one of the better defenses in the NFL, not many QB's are going to look good against them.

Lets see what Flacco does next week against Cleveland.

So judge him on what he does against the shitty teams of the leage, and not the good ones? :? :D

Where did I say that you shouldn't look at his games against the better teams? Of course you should (he did win one by the way). But don't look at just two games and change his name to Joe Succo. If he puts up bad numbers against Cleveland I might start to get a little concerned.

I'll make no excuses for Joe's terrible performance yesterday. He sucked. But, you can't deny the playoff success he had as a true freshman NFL QB in '08 and last year. I think he did OK the one time he played in Iowa too. :D

I doubt he forgot how to be an NFL quarterback. We're one eighth of the way through the season. Let's see how he does in the remaining seven eighths.

I love Flacco, I was just making a joke about how we shouldn't put too much stock into how he played agasint the Jets and Ravens because they are good, but we should put stock in how he plays against one of teh 3 worst teams in the league.

I should have added a :poke:

I dunno - luv the guy to pieces - but he just looks different this season, even though it's real early and there's a long way to go, just to the bye week. No confidence, no swagger, no laser-like focus down the field even while scrambling. I wonder if that hip injury he suffered (at Oakland, right?) last season is still hurting him...

Say it ain't so Joe. Man that was ugly yesterday, outside of the 2nd half's opening possession, he just didn't look right at all. Indecisive and just plain awful.

He would rather put something else in your mouth to get an emotion.

No thanks. If I want something that small in my mouth I'll floss.

Joe's QB rating for today is 125+. The guy really sucks.

On a somewhat related note why is Cleveland not putting Hillis front and center? This guy is a load. He looks just like Marion Motley.

No one should hit this guy above his waist. The Browns could ride this horse if they chose to.

are we writing Flacco's ticket to Canton based on one game vs Cleveland?

You're right - we've been ignoring Wild Cat alumni in the NFL for far too long - who should we be following/rooting for? Dan Kreider? Corey Graham?

Yep...only judge him and what he does against shitty teams in the NFL...not how he plays against the good teams

The NFL season is barely 3 weeks old - and that's just 3 games that Flacco's had to throw to Boldin. If you really think he's not the real deal, then we'll just have to wait until later in the season and see how he's doing then. Not too many people are predicting Baltimore to not be a major force in the AFC and I haven't seen anything so far to doubt that few.

While I'll agree it is too early to judge. I heard more than a few national commentators mentioning the Ravens as Super Bowl possibilities.
