reports out of England are that Red Sox owners have made an offer to take over Liverpool and that the board of directors has accepted the offer.
The two current owners however say they will resist the bid because they say the offer undervalues the value of the club. The Boston owners offered $477 million. Hicks was hoping to sell the team for $951 million.

As a Liverpool fan since 2003, I am all for this. Please, anything other than our gawd awful owners we have now. NESV will run things the right way and bring back the tradition to Anfield, much like they did in Boston. We need something to help us stay out of relegation this year and hopefully back at the top in 2 seasons.

It's my fault because I didn't realize that the thread "Don't Do It Mr. Henry" was actually about the Red Sox ownership acquiring Liverpool FC. So I started a new thread on that subject.
