Wulff's getting desperate...

Between the huge losses and the injuries at QB inflicted by Portland State, Wazzu coach Paul Wulff has pulled a page out of Dick Vermiel's playbook and opened up campus tryouts for QB.
Wow. Never thought I'd see a coach get THAT desperate. If I still had eligibility, I'd be there!

That is one way to fix problems. Is he playing his 3rd string QB still with no back up?

That's why I've always been a fan of the way we did things at UOP: have 6 QBs. We certainly went through three of them, though not because of injury. We went through four if you count John Fassel, who became our punter after our combo kicker fell down a flight of stairs visiting a friend at Stanford. That doesn't work out too well at the FCS level, but at FBS, it's easy to pull off.
