McNabb benched

McNabb was pulled for Rex Grossman

in the last two minutes with the Skins only down three points. Looks like Shanahan is starting to understand what most Philly fans have known for a few years.. McNabb is waaaaay over-rated. The McNabb of the past few seaons is hardly the same QB from the Super Bowl and earlier years. Now with this benching McNabb will be pouting through the Skin's bye week and maybe the rest of the year.
Let the drama begin..

and don't forget.. the knowlegeable Philly fans told you so....

I give more credit to the Redskins defense in that game. McNabb's passer rating was a lofty 60.2 for the game. Washington had the lead and ran the ball a lot, but when they did throw McNabb did not shine.
I wonder if he'll get a chance to do it again, or if Rex will be at the helm for the rematch.

This town went from possible elation to full blown suicide watch in 5 minutes yesterday.
I was fully prepared to have a miserable two weeks while the Skins went into the bye week at 5-3. Not only do they lose, they will now come to realize what they have in McNabb (a VERY inconsistant QB that really shows no emotion), and a coach that suddenly went from the second coming of Vince Lombardi to the second coming of Jim Zorn!

They're already calling him Zornihan on the Junkies this morning.
The Junks were questioning whether McNabb looked disinterested at the end of the game and I was yelling at my radio "Welcome to my world for the past 10 years".

But on the bright side Washington now has the top 'Choke Artist/Air Guitar' player combination in the NFL....

I hate to throw him completely under the bus, but his laughing on the sidelines during losses always drove me nuts. It is funny that apparently no Redskin fan ever noticed this, or his throwing at the feet of receivers before this year.

McNabb has been announced as the starter for the next game.
Shanny says Rex knew his 2 minute offense better, just couldn't hang on to the ball.

5 minutes? Try 10 seconds. The amount of time it too to throw that interception. To make my life even more painful, Baltimore was on a bye and it was the only game on TV. The whole Redskin hating city was spoon fed that collapse. It's all everyone is talking about.

Seems to me we're not the only team with a QB controversy.

I wonder how much having Randy Moss as a target will help McNabb...

Shanahan is now saying McNabb is out of shape.
The Redskins are so fun to watch from afar.

Even more fun being here. I get three channels of sports talk on Monday morning dedicated to the Skins. Can't make this stuff up.

I guess he was worried that McNabb would throw up on the field.
Listened to ESPN radio driving to and from work today, some of the national guys are beginning to notice what Philly fans have known for years, others still don't get it.
Mike & Mike in the morning still don't get it regarding McNabb, thy were shocked that such a great QB could be benched.
Some of the other national guys, I think Dilfer was one of them, pointed out that McNabb was never good in the two minute offense.

Which doesn't speak well for McNabb, since he's got more experience and, according to Shanahan, Rex hadn't even practiced the Redskins two-minute offense. Grossman and McNabb arrived in DC within 3 weeks of each other, you gotta wonder how the guy who doesn't play knows the offense better than the guy who does.

I listen to Kornheiser's station at lunch. 92.7 (sister station of 980).

REX GROSSMAN?
I think I'd be more okay with this benching if it had been some no-name kid from Quinnipac.

The outrage being expoused by the loudest mouth analysts is tired. McNobb sucks, apparently so bad that Rex Gross Man sucks less.
Deal with it bruh-nouncers, STFU and get on to the next subject. The decision was not racial.
