I saw that Staal is out for a while. Any injury to the Pens is good for me.
Now if only Crosby's baby tears would blind him so much that he would skate face first into the glass and give himself a severe concussion....

In Minnesota we care about all hockey, but the Minnesota State High School Tournament is the greatest hockey spectacle in the land.

I would like to thank Bettman for that wonderful Helsinki-Ottawa-Vancouver-San Jose-Los Angeles-Phoenix road trip to open the season for the Canes before playing our first home game. And then having a home game against the Caps, going to NYC to play the Rangers, then coming home the next day to play the Penguins, going back up north to play the Flyers, and now back in Raleigh to play the Islanders tonight and going to Miami tomorrow to play the Panthers.

Being 5-6 so far is a miracle. Fuck you Bettman.

But man, that sucks. Helsinki all the way to the West Coast before a single home game?? Yikes.
Caps are very beatable right now, btw. They are up and down from game to game. They haven't found their mid/end of season groove yet.

Technically, one of the Helsinki games was a "home game" for us, but yeah, the real home opener two weeks after the season starts sucks.
