He would only do a few innings a game this past season. Great voice for commentary. RIP

I'm not familiar with his work. But guys who suck behind the mike do NOT make the HOF. That he did says a ton. That he was the Voice of the Mariners from their humble beginnings until this past season says even more.
The Mariners will be hard pressed to get a guy half as good, I'm sure.
