All the time, I've been on there for years and I am up several hundred dollars

.
I will be on later tonight. I usually play 8 - 10 tables at a time, $0.50 - $1.00 limit hold 'em.
I'm BlueHen86 on there too.

Has anyone here actually been able to cash out, with an actual check sent to them for their winnings?

That's where I was, just got back from seeing Unstoppable. I'm getting ready to watch our high school football teams playoff game on TV, but I might try and get on later.

I never tried, a friend of mine needed money in his account, so he game me cash and I tranferred money to him.
I initially deposited $100, grew it to $360, at which point I tranferred $200 to my friend. I then turned the remaining $160 into $600. At that point I was red hot and bumped up to $5 - $10 limit holdem at which point I cooled and then lost it all real quickly.
I have since turned $0 into $350
without redepositing. Played lots of freeroll satelite tourneys, placed high enough to qualify for money tourneys and then won money. I than started playing small stake limit holdem (5 cent 10 cent) and gradually moved up as I acrued more money.
My rule of thumb is that I must have 300 times the amount of the big bet. When I was playing $5 - $10 I only had 60 times the big bet and that isn't enough to survive the inevitable cold streaks and bad beats that are part of poker.

What are you playing? Stakes, game etc?
I've had nights where I've won hundreds in a matter of minutes, just make sure that you have enough in reserve for the cold streaks. You will eventually run into the complete donkey who will chase and hit a 2 outer to beat you out of a big pot.
I once had Ace King, flopped both an Ace and a King, only to lose when the donkey on my left got a 2 on the river and beat me with a set of 2's.

Had exact thing happen to me tonight. Holding A-8, flopped A-Q-8, got an 8 on 4th street for a full house and a 5 on the river.
Fucker was holding pocket aces. Thank GOD he only had $28 bucks or he'd have taken me for a boat load. He had the ONLY hand two cards that could beat me.
I'm playing stakes .50/1.00 mostly....

I'm about to go to bed, gotta get up in 6 hours for a wrestling tourney. How'd you do on the night? I liked your last hand, gotta love those 2 outers.
I won $25, most of it on one hand where I had K J, the board had A Q T (so I had a straight) and two opponents had A Q and we capped the betting on the turn and river. There is nothing better than reraising when you know you have the nuts.

Why is this in a "sports" section... I bet all that p90x training you did got you in shape for the vigorous mouse clicking action.
Status for the game this weekend:
AZGrizFan -
Questionable: Suffering from a nagging carpal tunnel injury (and wife), AZ has said he will be ready to continue his unprecedented streak of 293 straight starts. Check back prior to game time to make sure his wife hasn't made him take out the trash.
I'm all for poker, but it's not a sport.

Hey. Is it shown on ESPN?
That's good enough for me.

I ended up about $50 up. Most of it on the Quad 10's and then, about 6 hands later, quad Aces.

Spelling bee is definitely a sport. At least moreso than golf.

He's definitely got the wife problem pegged.
