The Phillies did their part, and now await the winner of Tampa-Boston.
Tampa is up 3 games to 1, but the Red Sox have been here before so I'm not writing them off yet.
Manny Ramirez is a beast, I've never seen a player as hot in the post season as he was.

Clearly, Ramirez wasn't the "beast" he was advertised to be.
More proof that one man does not a team make.

The Comeback Kids do it again!!!!
live to play another day...
Down 7 - 0 , the Sox come back for an 8-7 win to send the series back to Tampa...
Yea, we're down 3 games to 2...but ask Cleveland...ask the Angels...
ASK THE YANKEES... if this team can come back and win a series...
It ain't over yet...could be Saturday, but not yet...

I disagree. The Dodgers probably don't make the playoffs without him. His numbers in the NLCS were very impressive: 8 hits in 15 AB's, .533 batting ave., 8 walks, .636 OBP, 7 RBI and 2 HR. The problem for the Dodgers was the guys batting after him didn't hit. Manny was on base 22 times, but only scored 4 runs - and he drove himself in for two of them.
I agree that 1 man doesn't make a team, and Manny is a good example of that.
For the record - I'm no Manny fan. I think what he did to the Red Sox was complete BS. I also can't stand his agenrt - Scott Boras.

Nice comeback. Last night was a good example of why I'd rather the Phillies play the Rays in the WS. The Rays may be better on paper, but the Red Sox are never out of it in the playoffs.

I think this is the first time in over 2 years since the Phillies played on artificial turf.

One of the interesting things about the Trop, is there is not a dirt "Warning track". The carpet continues all the way to the wall, and they just painted on a brown warning track...
Kinda' kills the idea of "warning" the outfielder he's getting close to the wall if he has to look down to see the brown paint...

Phils up 2-0 in the bottom of ther second on a Chase Utley 2 run first inning homer.
Phils had a chance to open it up a little in the top of the second loading the bases with 1 out. But Rollins flies out to short center field on a 1-0 pitch and Victorino is out at the plate. Terrible at bat for Rollins, the pitcher is wild, I'm not swinging until he throws a strike. I didn't look like a good pitch to hit, at least not from my living room.

Phils up 3-2 in the bottom of the 8th. Madsen in to pitch.
