Colts Radio Voice Goes Off On Manning

During off air time during the Colts game Sunday, Bob Lamey, the radio voice of the Colts let loose with lots of criticism of Peyton Manning going so far as to say the Colts should bench him the rest of the season, that with him the Colts will finish last in their division, that the NFL has figured him out, and that the Colts should use what would likely be a decent draft pick if they do finish last in their division to pick a replacement for Manning.
Of course all this coming during a commercial break would seem to be ok since no one would hear it right? Nope... recordings of his rant made it to ESPN Radio 1070 and were played on air.
Its amazing really how quickly things have turned for Manning, just three weeks ago he was atop the list of potential MVP candidates, since then in three games he has tossed 11 interceptions including 4 that were returned for TDs.

They MIGHT have gotten away with that when they had Jim Sorgi. (And then, not by much.)
With Joe Schmuckatelli, they'd be in free-fall. The injuries and the myth of Manning as a solo miracle-maker have led to this. Bring back some of the injured players, and Manning will do much better. When it comes to making do with next to nothing, Peyton leaves a LOT to be desired compared to Archie, but he's better than anyone the Dolts have had since Bert Jones.

The league has figured him out? How long has he been in the NFL? 12 years?!
Sure took 'em long enough...

Amazing. Dallas Clark made Peyton Manning look like a genius. Kurt Warner made Ken Wisenhunt look like a genius.
Who knew?

He is missing Dallas Clark, Anthony Gonzalez, Austin Collie, and his top two running backs which amounts to the zero running game that they have right now.
That coupled with the numerous key injuries on defense is the reason they are losing games.

LMAO they are losing games cause hes throwing TD passes to the defense...
The Patriots are using a 4th string RB from last season and a guy no one heard of before the end of September at RB while having traded HOF Randy Moss and having a guy 9 months removed from major reconstructive knee surgery as their top WR threat, yet we dont see Brady throwing 11 INTs in 3 games... Now if Manning was only tossing 1 INT a game while losing 42-41 every week then you can blame the defense and running game if you want... but this is all on Manning being afraid of getting hit and making reckless throws to prevent it... guy needs to learn to throw it away sometimes instead of always trying to make something happen.

If a guy with the attitude of Randy Moss makes the HOF, I'll eat my hat.

He has to force things. He has no running game, and no defense. Manning is certainly not playing well right now, but he is a really great QB. The last 12 years, I would think, would override the last handful of games.
And stop with the NE comparisons. I don't care if nobody heard of their RBs at the start of the year. They are obviously good players, because the Pats chose to use them as starters. The Colts are being forced to use Mike Hart at RB. They didn't choose to start him at RB. The Pats are not in the same universe as the Colts are injury-wise this year. I'll use a comparison maybe you can understand, 2010 Colts=2010 Red Sox, as far as injuries.
