The Roof has collapse once or twice in the past.

The dome is just now catching up with the Vikings' season?

They should be an outdoor team anyway. Why would you not want to get that kind of home-field advantage, like Green Bay?

I hope this game gets tied up until Tuesday. Eagles play the Giants next week.

this isn't the first time this has happened - in 82 and 83 - before we figured out how to handle the roof properly (inflating and deflating to accommodate snow) it collapsed three times.

this time however - there was a catastrophic breach of the roof. odds are decent the bears game next week won't be here either.

something tells me this might get the vikings stadium efforts moving...

The phone is ringing right now at the Univeristy of Minnesota's facility.

They couldnt do the game tomorrow there because the stadium has already been shut down for the year and they say it would take several days to prepare it, but certainly its an option for next weeks home finale vs Chicago.

it only holds about 43,000... i feel bad for the 20,000 fans with tickets who will be SOL in that scenario...

on the plus side - it'll be 10 degrees at game time and all the tard monkeys yakking about an outdoor stadium will be silenced...

Well the other possible scenerios would be changing the game to Chicago or going in Detroit again, neither of which would help those 20,000 fans... or the other 43,000 either. Besides with that team the fans may like the idea of getting their money back.

I was thinking the same thing.

It's not certain that the Metrodump can be repaired in time for Da Bears game. TCF at the U of M still has 4 foot drifts to cleanup in several sections and the concessions need to be open as they had been winterized and shut down. Should be an interesting week. And Favra just may be done forever.
