Andre Roberts vs. Dallas Cowboys

Andre Roberts may well have had his breakout game this weekend against the Dallas Cowboys.

He had 5 receptions for 110 yards, including a 74 yard touchdown catch.

5 kick returns for 109 yards.

4 punt returns for 25 yards.

Andre pretty much went unnoticed since this was also the game where Larry Fitzgerald's streak of multiple-catch games ended. He caught just one.

There was also a FCS connection in this game, in that Arizona started Skelton at QB, and I understand he is the first Fordham player to ever play QB in the NFL? He threw the TD pass to Andre.

Great game for FCS players - Roberts was awesome in the game.

Skelton is the first Fordham QB in the NFL.

Just to clarify, there are some Fordham QBs who have played in the NFL. None played QB in the NFL.

I think of Frank Mautte in particular. He was a halfback/quarterback at Fordham. He only played halfback in the NFL.

There may be some others. Back in the day when Fordham sent many players to the NFL, Fordham was not ever a passing team and its backs were often interchangeable.

The broadcast last night mentioned that Skelton is the ONLY current Fordham player in the NFL, period.

I only got to see the early portion of the game, which featured AZ screwing the pooch on offense but getting away with it because of a couple of bad-luck Kitna passes. Then Kitna went out and the game essentially went south from there, from the reports I saw after we turned the game off for Christmas dinner. The only reason I was allowed to watch ANY of it was that a Cards loss would have aided my step-dad's Whiners. My Cowboys are generally persona non grata in my parents' house.
