It's not like those of us who supposedly "can't deal with it" have had that much to worry about in recent years. In fact, I'm glad they finally managed to not shit the bed on a national stage, even if they needed a leg up from the powers-that-be to pull it off.

OSU didn't play MSU this year for one. Second, Penn State didn't get embarrassed...37-24 is hardly an embarrassment. And Illinois won their bowl game.

Willie, I'm kind of like you in that I've been an Ohio St fan for as long as I can remember (I wanted to be Archie Griffin as a kid) but it's a little disingenuous to say that Boise doesn't play anybody. OOC, OSU played Miami (who wasn't as good as VT) and a bunch of MAC schools. The Big10 was down this year and they didn't play Michigan State. IMO, OSU's competition wasn't much better than Boise's.

Gee making that "little sisters of the poor" comment just showed his ignorance about college football. I found it hilarious that a TCU fan with a little money paid for those billboards in Columbus. Hopefully Gee learned a lesson.

Ohio State is a great program and had a very good team this year, but the school's representatives should have the class and dignity not to try and promote their own program by putting other programs down.
