NBA may consider 4-pt shot for 2012...

...or so says a Yahoo! Sports columnist.

He recommends (as the Globetrotters have done) limiting it to a certain time period to foster comebacks [sort of akin to the XFL's 3-pt conversion (which wasn't time-limited), though he didn't mention it] as opposed to bigger blowouts. He also wants an arc 12' beyond the 3-pt line vice the 'Trotters' 5x5 circles. Ultimately, he thinks, as they've done in the past, the NBA has outgrown the game and must shake things up to survive.

Discuss.

Why don't they just paint the floor in a random color design and then, pre-game, they can draw numbers with point values to be assigned for shots made from that color. I am sure that this would really please Dr. Naismith. And then after doing this, the NBA would not only be boring, but also hopelessly stupid.

How about something like the NHL...instead of players fouling out, they have to sit for 2 minutes for each foul.

Nope....nevermind, that's pretty gay. NBA is full of gaywads. FACT.

Globetrotter legend Curley Neal told ESPN2 reporters, "I know (NBA Commissioner) David Stern is watching and is interested in what we are doing."
I never knew David Stern used to be the commissioner of Rock N' Jock Basketball... what's next? The 20 or 50 point baskets?
