Hey Minnesota Guys

Have you ever seen Bandy played? There appears to be only one bandy rink in the US and it's in Roseville, MN. I think I'd still prefer hockey, but I would love to try this at least once.

Oh, I don't think it would be any good to watch... just seems like it would be fun to play. We skated on ponds growing up, but nothing big. Our pond hockey games were on ponds the size of hockey rinks. The thought of skating over large expanses sounds cool to me. Throw in a stick and a ball/puck and I'm definitely in.

Rink bandy doesn't have the same cache for me. It's really the largness of it and the fact that it's outdoors.

My daughters game was in the indoor rink next to the outdoor bandy. In fact I'm headed to a coin show this morning at the same indoor center, maybe the outdoor ice will have some Bandy or speed skating going on.

Bandy goals were set aside today, some open skating and speed skating practice at the Rose.
