The NFL decided Tuesday in New Orleans to change a couple of rules, not the least of which is one that bans teams from doing what Eastern Washington did to their field this past season. Teams are required to keep their fields green.
The new rule, known as the "Boise rule" is a direct reference to Boise State, the school with the famous blue Smurf Turf. Eastern Washington followed in the Broncos' footsteps, installing a bright red field prior to last season - a season in which they won the FBS national championship.
No NFL has tried to put in colored turf to this point, but you have to wonder if the new rule is a response to some owners' intentions.
But seriously, WE WON THE FBS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!!!! WOOOOOO!!!!!
Heard this on the radio yesterday morning and the guys on the show couldn't come up with EWU without googling it. Then of course they asked if they were DI.

Um...not to go "this route" again, but that isn't even D2. I played at nicer high school and D3 facilities.
