She died from Cancer she ruled the MARATHON in the 70's

Sad - Unfortunately I most remember her for losing her bowels while running the NY Marathon on live TV - spectators were throwing water on her to help her get cleaned up, and she ended up smoking everybody anyway. RIP Greta.

She was an elite middle distance runner before she became an elite marathoner. There are surprisingly few runners who have been able to find success in both worlds.

Damn. If I knew I was going to die at 57, I wouldn't waste so much time on healthy shit. That's a damn shame.

No shit! well there was some shit, as noted above. My old man smoked 3 packs a day and made 58.
