Sacramento Channel 10 is reporting that the LA Lakers have hired former Cleveland head man Mike Brown to replace the retired Phil Jackson. Brown beat out Laker assistant Brian Shaw and former Kings/Trail Blazers coach Rick Adelman.

Of course, it wasn't all him, SD. The problem is that when you have a so-called star with the ego that he's got, either you kiss up to him or you're gone. Dumping Kobe in favor of the coach would be a PR nightmare of epic proportions, even if it were the right thing to do (which it is).

When did he leave the Bulls???
