So the NBA draft is tomorrow night (Thursday) and there are some interesting storylines...

It seems that the Cavs are unsure who they will pick at #1 but after thinking about trading up for the 2nd pick they will stay with the 1 and 4 picks.

The Spurs are possibly thinking of trading Tony Parker to move up.

There has been a rumor that the Lakers are thinking about trading Pau Gasol to the T'Wolves for the 2nd pick and for Kevin Love.

And lastly, I heard its a possibility that the Knicks will trade up to select Jimmer Freddette.

I like Jimmer but the Knicks would be crazy to trade up for him, that Florida game showed where his toughness level was. He'll make a great sparkplug for someone.

Love would fit well with the Lakers, a guy that doesn't need plays to get points. Works well with Kobe.

I would love to see that trade happen but thats not their biggest need right now. Even though I love Fisher, they need a legit point guard.

Also FWIW, Mike Brown said he's not going to run the triangle offense.

I've heard at least 15 trades for the T-Wolves #2 pick. Latest was Steve Nash for #2 so they can draft Derrick Williams. Wolves President said Love and Rubio are not going to be traded. Jonny Flynn is being marketed though, and the #2 pick if they can get Kanter with #3 or 4. Lakers need youth and speed.

exactly, even though its obvious. I also don't get the hype around Rubio. I heard he averaged 5 points coming off the bench for a spanish league team. :?

For the first time ever, I'm actually really excited for the NBA draft. One of my buddies from school, Klay Thompson, will likely get picked somewhere in the lottery tomorrow night. I played on an intramural softball team with him for the past few semesters, luckily he's better at basketball than he is at slow pitch softball. I haven't had a favorite NBA team since the Sonics got hijacked so it will be nice to have someone to cheer for again after Klay gets drafted.

He's a pass-first guard, so he would fit in perfect with the Wolves. Brandon Jennings didn't have real great stats in Europe either.

Kevin Love is already better than Gasol and goes to superstar status by next season. No way in hell do the Twolves do that trade.

I think I also saw something on Sportscenter about the Lakers offering Odom to the T'Wolves but them turning down the offer.

Yeah, word on the street is that the reason he missed the Draft Media day today was that he detoured down to San Antonio to meet with Spurs management before heading up to NYC. They would likely have to move up to 10 or 11 to get him because I don't really see Klay falling past Golden State at this point, Jerry West really wants to draft him.

New rumors are that the Lakers are talking to the Sixers about Lamar Odom and Andre Iguodala.

Players I'm looking forward to seeing where they drafted...

Norris Cole (cleveland state, ODU opponent in the bracketbuster game this past season)
Charles Jenkins (hofstra, CAA opponent)
Jamie Skeen (VCU, CAA and most hated rival...not sure if he'll get drafted but its possible)
Kemba Walker (UConn, National Champion)

Really looking forward to this draft tonight, even though its a weak draft this year there are a lot of interesting storylines. Its a longshot but keeping my fingers crossed that some is stupid enough to pick Frank Hassell from ODU.

Have one our first trades before the draft...
Milwaukee have agreed in principle to a three-team trade with the Sacramento Kings and the Charlotte Bobcats that will put shooting guard Stephen Jackson in a Bucks uniform, multiple sources said Thursday.

The Bucks will get Jackson and Charlotte's Shaun Livingston, Sacramento's Beno Udrih and the 19th pick from the Bobcats in Thursday night's draft, while Charlotte obtains the No. 7 pick from Sacramento and forward Corey Maggette from Milwaukee.

The Kings will get guard John Salmons from Milwaukee and the 10th pick in the draft. Charlotte will hold onto the No. 9 pick.

By agreeing to the deal, Milwaukee, Charlotte and Sacramento basically shuffled some big guaranteed contracts. Jackson has two years and more than $19 million left on his deal; Maggette is owed more than $21 million for the next two seasons; and Salmons has three years and $24 million left on his deal that also includes a team option for $7 million in 2014-15. The Kings do shed Udrih's contract, however, which is for more than $7 million next year with a player option the following season at almost $8 million.

Meanwhile, multiple sources told ESPN.com's Andy Katz that the Kings are leaning toward drafting BYU shooting guard Jimmer Fredette over Connecticut's Kemba Walker with the 10th pick, and Charlotte likely will consider Texas' Tristan Thompson at No. 7 and either Florida State's Chris Singleton or Colorado's Alec Burks at No. 9.

If Sacramento were to take Fredette at No. 10, then it could alleviate a major decision for the Utah Jazz at No. 12 with college basketball's national player of the year off the board. Milwaukee covets Kansas' Markieff Morris at No. 19, but he may not be available, the sources said.

Trades made after 3 p.m. ET Thursday cannot be officially announced until the start of the NBA draft tonight (7:30, ESPN).
