Congratulations to Scott Rolen!!!

Post by SuperHornet »

The Reds 3B smacked his 2000th major league hit, a grounder up the middle in the first today against St. Louis.

Oh, um, maybe because he's a little bitch that quits in the middle of seasons and demands to be traded.

He was one of the most miserable Phillie players I ever saw. He could play, but he just seemed to hate everything. I know he hated Veterans Stadium turf, but he was so miserable there had to be more to it than that.

Suprisingly, when Jim Thome was a free agent he asked Rolen about Philly and Rolen had nice things to say about the city and fans.

Granted, Scotty Rolen had to live through some terrible Phillies teams in the late 90s, but that's why you get paid the big bucks Scotty.

The Phillies were better off with him leaving. Lots of cancer was removed to get to where they got, and he was certainly one of the biggest, most malignant tumors.

Rolen is an asshole. St. Louis and Toronto found out the hard way. Cincy can have him.

It could be that Rolen just took a severe dislike to someone in the front office in Philly. Perhaps he just needed a change of scenery.

Of course, he COULD also be Bonds-calibre jerk, too.

Just want to keep both ideas in mind. They're both equally possible.

That's hard to believe, but I'll take your word for it.

Doubtful. He has had changes of scenery, and he is still miserable. It's just his personality.

Thome always got a nice round of applause on his visits here after he left the Phils. So does Brett Myers. Rolen gets lustily booed.

He gets booed because he was a whiny crybaby who never lived up to his potential. :thumb:
