If the NFL players and owners can reach a deal, so can Congress and the Prez.

Too bad there's no lockout available in DC!

Rumors have been flying about Mr. Will-He-or-Won't-He signing with Philly as a backup.

I'll believe THAT when I see it. First, Kolb will HAVE to be traded. (Yes, there are rumors that he's about to be shipped to AZ, though why the Cards would want him is beyond me.) Then, Vick would have to sign off on it to avoid a massive QB tantrum. (Yes, he supposedly tweeted approval, but then he retracted it.) Nothing official yet from the front office or from the Ultimate Football Waffler himself....

There really never is anything from Favre....which is why I laugh at all of the hate towards him.

The media....re: the shithole that is ESPN....catches an image of Brett throwing a can of beer away and spins it into "Brett working out towards another season", and it goes from there.

That doesn't surprise me in the least. Often, that punk Chris Mortenson is no better than the National Inquirer. And how Mel Kiper, Jr. gets any air time is beyond me. He's one of the biggest blowhards among sports talking heads.

+1, and I'll add Chris Berman for good measure.

You might want to qualify that, Wedgie. If you cut the sentence off as YOU have, White won ONE Super Bowl as a starter: the one against Denver.

To get the insinuation you're going for, however, you have to add two words.

I KNEW there was a reason I hated that guy.......

Like many Wiki articles, that one is defective. The starting lineups do not include the specialists. For the Cowboys, Efren Herrera was the starting kicker and White was the starting punter.

The punter never starts....Neither does the kicker for that matter, although I would buy kicker long before punter

Did you guys read the highlights of this CBA deal?

Man the players got things you'd never believe.

14 practices all regular season long in full pads?? Man we're going to see Assante Samuel be the norm in this league for tackling I guess - prepare for some ugly football.

As long as they get their checks, you think they care? Yet another reason for me to pay minimal attention to the NFL. :coffee:
